Being an individual business owner or sole trader can be a lonely place. You may neglect your own development as you focus on growing your business. But are you as effective as you could be?

As a member of the Individual Business Owner’s Development Group you’ll have access to valuable development content, ideas and support in a cost and time efficient way. The development will be focused on what you need.

You’ll be part of a supportive community of non-competing peers in a safe environment. You’ll be able to share issues and use your fellow group members as a sounding board.

Individual support is also available to help you embed your learning and Implement your solutions.

How does the Development Group work?

All sessions will be delivered using Zoom so you can be located anywhere in the UK (and beyond).

Each month you’ll get

  • a professionally facilitated, structured Peer Group session where you can bring a specific issue and receive advice, guidance, ideas, tips and support from your fellow group members to help you solve the issue. You’ll also help your fellow group members with their issues – that might give you more ideas. The length of this session will depend on the number of group members, but will be between 1½ and 2½ hours.
  • a 45-minute training session on a topic agreed by the group. This session will be recorded so it will also be available later for group members to access.
  • an option for a monthly 1-to-1 coaching session to help you with implementation, your personal situation and accountability for action.

How many people will be in my group?

I think it’s really important to keep the numbers in these types of groups low so that you get maximum interaction and value from the session. Therefore, the group size will be limited to eight people.

What will the training content be?

Group members will define the training they’d like to receive, but could include topics such as;

  • Personal Development Planning
  • Defining your Purpose, Vision and Values
  • Strategy and Strategic Workforce Planning
  • Managing change
  • Leading teams, including remote teams
  • Building and developing high performing teams
  • Running effective meetings
  • Networking skills
  • Presentation skills and pitching
  • Time management and prioritising
  • Generating ideas, problem solving, decision making
  • Managing difficult conversations
  • Coaching skills
  • Communication and engagement

What does it cost?

There are a couple of options depending on your specific needs.

  • £49 per month for access to the peer group session and training session (including any materials).
  • £99 per month for access to the peer group and training sessions PLUS an additional hour of personal 1-to-1 coaching support each month to help you implement what you’ve learned or address any specific issues.

Alternatively, group members on the £49 package can access 1-to-1 sessions on an ad hoc basis for the reduced rate of £75 per hour (usually £115).

All prices exclude VAT.

Who will run the sessions?
